Greene County Terms and Conditions

Use of this site means acceptance of these terms and conditions. A visitor who does not agree with them should stop using the site. These rules apply to the editorial pages, links, and outside search tools reached from them.

This privately owned site has no affiliation with Greene County, a sheriff, jail, court, NCDAC, or another government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers an FCRA-covered service. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency, and its material cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening.

Nature of the Service

This is a private reference site with no power to act for a government office, including the Greene County Sheriff's Office led by Sheriff Matt Sasser. It stores no official release, jail, corrections, or court record. It cannot confirm live custody, release a person, post bond, file a request, or issue an official document.

The service organizes public links and practical routes for Greene County custody and release records. It may also connect a visitor with independent search tools. Those tools remain separate services.

Rules for Acceptable Use

Visitors must use the site lawfully and without harming another person, the service, or its systems.

  • Do not violate a law while using any page or linked information.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate another person.
  • Do not base hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or similar eligibility decisions on site content.
  • Do not seek access to an account, server, or data without authorization.
  • Do not deploy bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not interfere with the site's availability or another visitor's use.

FCRA Uses Are Prohibited

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and its advertising partners do not provide screening services through this site. A visitor agrees not to use any information obtained here for an FCRA-regulated purpose.

  • Hiring, retention, promotion, or termination
  • Tenant selection or another housing decision
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • Any other purpose governed by the FCRA

Links to Independent Services

Links may lead to Greene County release sources, sheriff and corrections pages, courts, statutes, legal resources, or outside search providers. A link does not endorse the destination. This site is not responsible for another service's content, data practices, availability, fees, or terms. Visitors should review those terms independently.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its contents are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made about the following matters.

  • Accuracy, completeness, or currentness of information
  • Continuous or uninterrupted availability
  • Freedom from errors, defects, or security weaknesses
  • Completeness of results supplied by a search partner

Custody and release information can change quickly. Nothing on the site is an official statement from the Greene County Sheriff's Office, NCDAC, a court, or another agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of a linked service.

User Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the site, its operators, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from that visitor's use, misconduct, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Greene County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner. They may not be copied, distributed, republished, or modified without written permission, except as the law otherwise permits.

Revisions to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version becomes effective when posted. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the revised terms.

Restriction or End of Access

Access may be suspended, restricted, or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. That remedy does not limit any other right available under these terms or law.

North Carolina Governing Law

North Carolina law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
